New Year New Beginings!

OK- i know it is only December 11th, it is slow here so I am working on odds and ends. We will be re-srutuctuing some things come January. & while I can remember what they are I will post some of them!

#1 No more weekly newsletters! Just monthly. We will update the blog as needed. You can sign up to get an update when we update it. Just click on the icon to the left.

#2 We have decided to bring back FREE Fridays- come crop at Scrap Happy for free 12 noon till 11pm on Fridays REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! if you sign up and do not show up we will add you to a list and you will need to put a deposit down. It will be given back to you the night of the crop.

#3 We will be adding a Cricut Expression feature to our Cricut Club. Club members may use this machine anytime during store hours(the machine will not be in the store Jan 14-20- sorry i have a weekend crop and it needs to go with me!!) Each member must use there own blade and mat. The Cricut Cartridges that may be used are Cricut Cartridges that were purchased at Scrap Happy or cartridges you rent that day. Cost for a daily rental is $3.00.

Fun NEW look.....

I know, I know......If i have time to change the back ground, where are all the pictures? The whole having to upload, re-size, re-load and post is to much for me. I have delegated this to Amy- she is the blogger of the bunch. & of coarse she is not working this Wed., she is off to Iowa..(I think, I know it is an I state) so next week promise pictures!

So you might be asking what is new? Tons.....have you been to the store yet? It is sooo nice(& i am not just saying that since I own the store!!!!) We have customers every day! Oh...the little things in life! All of us enjoy helping customers learn new techniques, show them the latest and greatest or just listen to there stories on what they are scrapping!!

Did you know we have a new make-n-take every week? YEP! A new cute little project ready for you to either make it and take it home or just purchase the kit! Stop in and check it out!

So I have been thinking alot about the holiday season.....I have many reasons to be thankful!

i have had many of you emailing me asking when our new die will be released. the plan was to release it friday, this is also our VIP night at the new store. If you know me at all i change the plans ALL the time so today is your lucky day........A few details first. There will be NO discounts on this die. Reward dollars can not be used either. The die will not ship untill MID NOVEMBER>>>if you pre-order it, it will be charged to your card(sorry). Orders will ship in the order we receive them. Finally....this is VERY limited....We did not order as many of these as we did the castle, so once they are gone they are gone.

summer is gone

Summer is gone.....

This was my summer addictions....yep. Tori & Dean. They are sort of like Martha Stewart....either you love them or hate em'. I Love martha & tori! I also have been addicted to listening to this corky song, over and over and over! So i thought i would share with you!

I guess a better question is....am i ready?

It is pretty sad when your new landlord calls to see how things are coming along? Since he has seen no activity yet. I laughed...then explained this is how i work....i wait till the last minute, actually the last second....

The carpet layers will be there Monday at 9am, I will be there till midnight painting on Sunday. (Sorry, Jenese...I know my goal was to have it done BEFORE CHA!)

Anyways, here is the scoop....

Scrap Happy Clyde AND New Riegel will be closing there doors Saturday, August 30th at 4pm!
This is our last week at both locations. We will then pack up each store and move all the product to one beautiful new store!

We will be closed for a short time to organize everything(Not for a vacation!) We will open our doors for EVERYONE on saturday september 13th!

We are hosting a VIP night, Friday September 12th @ 6pm! This is by invitation only....as of today we have 3 spots left! If you are intersted please contact either store and we will give you the info!

Monday- Friday 10am till 7pm

Time goes waaaaaaaaaay to fast! So let me catch you up incase ou have not visited the store lately......

July- CHA....for those of you who do not know CHA is the Craft & Hobby Association Show...it comes around two times a year, summer and winter....We do 90% of our ordering there. It is ALOT of work, stressful work...Thank heaven this show there was a car load of us....Jenese, Rachel , "work" Susie(i am scrappin' Susie, incase you were wondering!)& Mardi went along for the ride! We ordered alot of NEW companies plus our favorites....Scenic Route, Basic Grey, Making Memories and MORE!

As we receive new product i will try to take a picture and post it so you all can see.....

Late Night Fun!

If you know me at all, you know i actually do not scrap very much. I have very little time, I usually am trying to do paper work! So when i get stressed i stay up late and get creative!

So last night was one of those LATE evenings.... 2am late. Even Addison tried to stay up with Bailey and I...she lasted till about 1am. Her schedule is way off since our vacation. Here are a few photos of an album i am working on. The album is a new Tinkering Ink Peek-a-boo album, which requires alot of thought since it is a chipboard and acyrlic combined album. The paper and embellishments are from the new beyond the sea collection by heidi grace. Thank heaven for Bailey, she gave me alot of great ideas!

My plans are to finish it tonight at the FREE FRIDAY crop, i will try to post finished pictures Sturday or Sunday.

Here in Florida.....

it is VERY hot! I am not an out doorsy person to begin but it is TOOOO hot. incase you did not know, i am on vacation....I know, I know, I can not take even a week off. everyone is sleeping so I am not missing anything. Everyone is in bed early, we have yet to stay out past 7pm, no fireworks....yet. I will share more when i return, i can not wait, my head is already spinning thinking of all the fun classes i want to do with these photos! So, if you have had the chance to visit the place of a mill;ion dreams get your pictures ready!

anyways, onto the important things.....Are you ready for next weekend? scrap Happy turns 2 and we will be celebrating! Amy is covering for me this week and if you did not know already she likes to get me organized! this means a HUGE clear out sale for all of you! mark your calendars Saturday AND Sunday 11-4! CHA is coming....we need to make room! & remember spend $25.00 or more and receive a FREE ticket to the LARGEST, FANCY, GRAND event EVER!!!!

Wow, wasn't that a fun crop! Not sure about you girls, but I loved the NSD crop we had on Saturday! We all received an awesome Bo Bunny kit and a door prize was won by all. Scrap Happy will be having a crop the 1st Saturday of every month. They can only accommodate 10 happy scrappers, so get your RSVP's in early. Hope to see you at the next one on June 7, 2008, it starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at midnight. Susie will be on a well deserved vacation with her family and I will be hosting the crop!

We will be at the Mega Meet in Novi, MI this weekend, come see us there.

Scrap Happy will be co-sponsoring a "Relay for Life" crop in Findlay on May 16th, all proceeds from the crop with go directly to fighting cancer. There is still room at the $20 crop, contact Jenese E @ 419-429-1500 or call Scrap Happy @ 419-595-2523 for more information!

Just wanted to check in to see who is scrappin' with me on Friday? Are you aware of how much fun we have on Friday night crops at Scrap Happy(New Riegel)? Not sure if we crop or laugh more! It is a great way to meet new friends. I have met some really special friends on Friday nights and I feel if I don't travel down to Scrap Happy every Friday night I will miss out on a night out with those specials friends. Did I mention that it is "free to crop" on Fridays(New Riegel)? All you need to do is call the store at 419-595-2523 ahead of time to reserve your space. Believe it or not, I have forgotten to call ahead and have almost found myself out of a space to crop. Hello, I am the "crazy" Aunt that should have my very own reserved spot without calling ahead, don't you agree?

Addictions...

I have met alot of you over the last almost 2 years.....that i am thankful for. I also have learned alot about you but there is alot about me you do not know. One of those things, is the fact i have an addiction. Not to anything bad.....my addiction is staying up till midnight every week night to watch The Young & the Restless....who would have ever thought? Yes, even on my days off, i know it is on at 12 in the afternoon but that is my time to take a nap with my babies.(yes, i know 2,6,&10 means they are not by definition babies but to me they always will be!) A little about you may not have known....

2. Register for some pretty creative classes....not just "slap it together" classes. We take alot of time planning and creating our classes. the point of a class is to "teach" you something!

4. Where else can you come and have crazy aunt mardi demo product for you???

i am sure there is more but it has been along day, y&r is over and i have to be back in the shop on 6 hours for a 16 hour day!

It was a great crop!

I don't know what you were doing last Saturday. We were cropping at Bubby's! It was a blast and wow did we receive some cool things from Scrap Happy, thanks to Fiskars! Everyone that attended took home an awesome Fiskars door prize! The day flew by and I personally could not believe where 12 hours went! Jenese's Mom was even there scrapping, which from what I understand is kind of rare. I do a lot of yakking at a crop, but this time I got down to business and have made a great dent in my vacation pictures. If you haven't tried one of Scrap Happy crops, you really need to. You get to meet new friends, make memories, create memories, and then scrap those memories! How fun is that!

Happy Wednesday!!

Happy Wednesday!! I am excited to see that the Scrap Happy blog still has readers! (Thanks Mardi and Stacy!) Lots of cool things have come in the store lately, like new Basic Grey (beautiful!) and Heidi Grace ( more glitter and flock!) , and the adorable Scenic Route rubons and Lynden line are in too! (Will add the images to the store this afternoon!) Make sure to check out the store, www.scraphappyohio.com ....I am always adding new items!

Not everyone knows this, but we at Scrap Happy have a machine called the AccuCut. It is the giant thing in the crop room that cuts the explosion boxes, scalloped cards and envelopes and so many other awesome things! Clyde store doesn't have one yet but I have heard a rumor that it may be coming soon......! (Thanks in part to all the lovers of the explosion boxes we have over here!) We have many examples of the papercraft items that you can cut from it up in the stores and we just got in the Maya Road dies that cut the exact items that you need to make the Modern Purse and other adorable Maya Road goodies. Just pick out your paper to make exactly what you want! Simple and easy! AccuCut also has a craft blog with other great ideas and we wanted to share with you. Well, back to work! Susie will think I am having too much fun! (Just kidding, boss lady!!!!) Have to finish the card classes and upload the new goodies. Make sure to stop in this weekend at either store location, Clyde or New Riegel, and take part in our Spring Open House. Door prize, make-n-take and special sales will be going on! Thank you COLUMBUS!

We had a great time this last weekend... it is hard to believe we have been in business for almost 2 years already.

Going to shows is ALOT of work and i could not do it without my "roadies" (thanks, Mardi, Jen, Rachel and of coarse my Ron) So many people do not understand why we do what we do. Well, I feel this is the best way to put a face to Scrap Happy, hopefully you will come visit and hang out with us!

so, what is new here? (since, I have not posted since OCTOBER??)

We have a crop this weekend at bubby's. the cost is $25.00. you receive lunch, goodie bag, make-n-takes and door prizes. for this crop EVERYONE will receive a door prize. Fiskars was kind enough to donate ALOT of product. 12 hours of not only cropping but laughing as well!!!

We are taking reservations for the all weekend crop in October also!

Well, i must get some sleep, Y&R is almost over and i have alot of unpacking in the morning!
